Why do people assume that we have to be more energy efficient? Why don’t people assume that the Earth is full of unlimited amounts of energy? If you make that assumption, instead of the assumption that the Earth is running out of energy, then this whole green energy movement becomes pointless. Your assumptions often determine what you believe. Instead of people questioning the assumptions behind the green movement or even questioning who is behind the green movement, people just blindly assume that we are running out of energy. People need to take a breather really quick and ask themselves, do they really believe we have an energy crisis and if so why? Do they really believe the earth is anywhere near running out of fossil fuels? Why is it that the one’s pushing for green energy and reduction of fossil fuels just happen to be liberals who want bigger government and generally believe in controlling other people’s lives and have a general contempt for the regular folks? If Al Gore really believed what he is teaching, why does he have huge energy bills on his house? Why does he travel around in private jets? It is easy to mislead people when you get them to believe that your assumptions are infallible. Once you look past the assumptions of global warming or the energy crisis or whatever the “it crisis” of the day is, you quickly realize that the basis of their ideas are assumptions that cannot be proven or that are weak at best. If you look closely, you realize very quickly that those who are pushing these ideas are generally in the liberal or progressive camp. These are the same people that want big government and that want to control people’s lives. The fact that most of these people are in one camp or in one party should give people cause and help them to realize that these ideas are nothing more than ways to control people and to take away their liberty. The truth, as I see it, is that the earth was designed for man and woman to use. We are the kings and queens of this world. We don’t need the environment’s permission to use what is here. The Earth is full of energy, almost unlimited energy. Sure we should watch how we pollute it, but only to protect other people from diseases and such. Pollution is a necessary byproduct of development and of making life easier. To eliminate pollution would send us back to the caveman days, but once again there are environmental groups, once again progressives and liberals, who don’t care if we go back to the caveman days, as long as they extract money and power from the people. They want the benefits of pristine environments as long as others pay them to lead and as long as they don’t have to put up any of their money to do it. So what is the moral of this little story? Question the assumptions underlying any argument that progressive and liberals make and you generally will find false assumptions that they portray as truths for the sole purpose of gaining power and control over people and for the purpose of putting them in positions of power.

Thursday, January 29th, 2009Everyone has ideas on how to make the world a better place, but there is one group of people that is especially dangerous. It is the liberal and progressives because of the method they use to make the world better. Some of these ideas used to make the world better have never been tested in the real world to see what the consequences are. Most of these ideas fall into the category of progressive ideas such as gay marriage, abortion on demand, full-time daycare, etc. While people may love these ideas and be convinced that they will work, they have no evidence that they will work. The problem with progressive ideas is that they have never been tested in the real world and no one knows if they work. Judging by the effect that these new progressive ideas have had on the family over the past few decades, it can be safe to assume that these ideas do not work judging by the decay of society since their mass inception. Another difference between those who hold progressive ideals and those who don’t is that progressives are willing to use the government to force their change upon other people. This is such an anti-liberal or anti-liberty stance. It is immoral, for no one has the right to force ideas upon one another. Progressives use interesting tactics to force these ideas upon others. First, they pretend they are martyrs. Second, they confuse people by claiming that they just want such things as equal rights. Not everything one wants is equivalent to a right. Third, they shame people into following them. They make people feel uncool for not following the new progressive thinking. Fourth, they shout down those who oppose their ideals. In summary, we all want the world to be as we want it to. Progressives are willing to use force and the government to bring about their ideas. Therefore, progressive are dangerous when they are in power for they will use the evil methods of force and government to get their way.
No one is an expert
Sunday, January 25th, 2009The current economic demise in the U.S.A. and in the world to a large extent can be summed up in five words, “The experts really aren’t experts.” If they were really experts, shouldn’t they have been able to use their expert knowledge, years of economic training, and insight to predict that this would happen. It would appear then that the government has lied to us. They have been appointing economic experts, governors to the Federal Reserve, and financial gurus who have told us for years that they knew what they were doing, but the truth is, they don’t. The truth is that there is no way an economy can be centrally planned like they have been trying for years. The truth is that the experts are not wise, smart, nor insightful enough to understand the millions of variables that go into making a productive economy. The truth is that they have been enriching themselves and their friends in the banking, mortgage, and finance industry for years at the expense of the American people. There are no experts. The only true experts are those that admit there is no way they could possibly centrally plan an economy. If anyone else tells you are they are an expert, they are lying to you. So this site is dedicated to all those regular folks out there who know they are not experts and that they best understand how to run their lives without government experts meddling in them. Government experts are nothing more than propaganda arms of the government, trotted out there to convince you that government control is better than individual liberty. Feel free to leave post any thoughts you might have about the subject of experts on this site. If you feel that you know best how to solve a problem in comparison to our so called experts, please leave your idea. If you feel that the experts are way off base, leave your reason why.
